Lady Cougars Are Area Champions!

Our RLHS Lady Cougars are advancing to the third round for the first time since the 1990's. Once again, the Cougars took care of business last night very quickly by finishing off the Frost Polar Bears in three straight sets. They now move on to the 3rd round on Monday night at 7:00 p.m. against the Crawford Pirates at the Waco University Gym. Great job Lady Coogs! We are so proud of you!!

Lady Cougars Are Bi-District Champions

Our fantastic Lady Cougars did an awesome job last night defeating the Axtell Lady Longhorns in three straight sets. It was a pleasure to watch our Cougars execute with confidence and precision. This Bi-district championship marks the first second round appearance for our VB team in 19 years. We are so proud of our Lady Cougars. They play again on Thursday night in Axtell at 7:00 p.m. against the Frost Polar Bears. Come on out tomorrow night as they compete for the Area Championship against Frost!

RLES Hosts Its First Music Program

On Thursday, October 24, at 6:00 p.m., the RLES sixth-grade students under the leadership of their new music teacher, Chris Garcia, will be presenting a collection of songs called "In All of My Dreams" with certain big hits from the Lion King and Aladdin.

Career Day at RLES

Our littlest Cougars will be attending their first ever career day next week at RLES. On Tuesday, October 29, the RLES students will hear from a variety of guest speakers depending upon their grade level. Some of the invited speakers represent the fields of nursing, military, law enforcement, Park Ranger, farmer, dentistry, news broadcasting, electricians, truck drivers, and more. How exciting it is to see our RLES Cougars grow! Pictures to come!!

Lady Cougar VB Team Off to a Great Start

Our RLISD Lady Cougar Varsity VB team has gotten off to an awesome start this year in district play. First, they defeated the Chilton Pirates here at home last Friday night in three straight sets. Next, they took their game on the road to Calvert this past Tuesday night when they again defeated their opponent in three straight sets. They return home to the Cougar gym tomorrow night to take on the Moody Bearkats. Go get'em Coogs!
