After dropping their first district match two weeks ago to Crawford, the Lady Cougar Basketball Team has now beaten Moody and Bosqueville to up their district record to 2-1. Our JV Girls also made quick work of the Bosqueville Lady Bulldog JV Team. Go Cougars!

Lady Cougars BB Team Wins Again

The Lady Cougars began their annual Cameron Basketball Tournament against the Iola Bulldogs. it was a "nail-biter" but the Cougars walked away with a 44-40 win over the Bulldogs. Their next game is this after noon at 5:30 against the West ISD Trojans.

Lady Cougars Dominate Again

The Lady Cougars basketball JV and Varsity teams chalked up two more wins on Tuesday night. Their victims this week were the Thrall Tigers. Both Cougar teams made quick work of the Tigers winning both games in the double digits. They face their next opponent, the Holland Hornets, this Friday in Holland. Way to go Cougars!

Whitfield Named Classroom Champion

Congratulations to the Varsity Lady Cougars, Coach Williams, and Coach Donohoe for going undefeated in the Hubbard Basketball Tournament this weekend. They won the championship match by defeating Hubbard 47-31. Way to go Cougars!

Miss Alexandra Minor was named to the Volleyball Super Centex Team on Saturday. Her Honorable Mention status puts her among an elite group of VB players in Central Texas, and she is only a Sophomore! Congratulations Alexandra!

Varsity BB Boys Trounce Troy

Our Varsity Boys basketball team traveled to Florence this week to compete in their tournament. In the process, it has just been reported that our Cougars defeated the Troy Trojans 70-41!!

Three of our RLHS students have earned another outstanding honor. Miss Kailey Bennett, Mr. Latham Hoff, and Mr. Marshall Kahlig have all earned the title of "All-State Athletic Academian" by the THSCA. In order to earn this honor, a student must be a Senior, letter in a Varsity sport for at least two years, and maintain a 92% average in all areas throughout all four years of High School. Please let Kailey, Latham, and Marshall know how proud you are of them. Go Cougars!

Academic Cougars Strike Twice!

Wow, what a weekend! After their younger Cougar siblings had earned the title Academic Champions on Friday, the 6th-8th Grade students would not be outdone. Our 6th-8th grade students earned 876 points on Saturday to edge out Moody and dominate Rappaport and Harmony to become UIL District Champs at the Middle School level. WAY TO GO COOGS!!!
